The roots of V's Italiano Ristorante go back to 1963 when Vita and Jay Totta, aided by their family decided to enter the restaurant business. The first "V's Cafe" consisted of a seven-stool counter, three tables and four booths, giving a total seating capacity of 35.

With the family recipes steeped in tradition, high quality standards and the personal touch of "V" (Vita) herself greeting customers at the door, the business expanded rapidly. Frequently, waiting lines became so long they "V" felt expansion was necessary.

This led to the Totta's, in 1966, acquiring and remodeling a structure near here which, at the time, seemed massive. It accommodated 85 patrons, nearly two and a half times the original seating. However, this building was soon outgrown. "V" and her husband Jay, who was an architect by profession, dreamed of someday being able to design and build their own building that would create an atmosphere of elegant old world charm, but with modern efficiencies for the best care of their customers.

This dream became a reality in 1971 when the present building was completed. The dining room comfortably accommodated 150 patrons in a relaxed atmosphere. This is accentuated by an elegant lounge and three private banquet rooms available for groups up to 150 guests. On the exterior is a grape arbor which was planted by "V's" father, and is now carefully tended by the fourth generation of Tottas. These vines may be viewed from the interior of the "Vista Vite" room, or you may enjoy an intimate cocktail under them in the "Garden Patio" next to the cascading waters of our beautiful stone waterfall.
